Family Hubs

Find out about the different children and family services including activities for parents, parents-to-be, their babies, toddlers, young children and the rest of the family.

Halton SEN Service

A team of specialist teachers and advisors who offer support to Early Years settings, schools and parents/carers around complex needs, communication, sensory impairment and autism.

Outreach Support

Staff from of our specialist educational settings may be available to support practitioners in mainstream environments with children with complex needs. This is accessed through Halton’s SEN Service.

Health Improvement Team

Halton Healthy Early Years, Halton Infant Feeding Team, Healthy Schools, Fit4Life, Triple P Positive Parenting Programme

You can refer children into the Children’s Audiology Service via a Health Visitor, School Nurse, GP or any other professional who is involved with their care​

Hearing Impairment Support

Support for children/young people (0-25 years) with a hearing impairment (HI), their families, educational settings and colleges. Working with other professionals and agencies to assess and meet the identified needs.

Vision Impairment Support

Support for children/young people (0-25 years) with a vision impairment. Working together with parents, schools and other agencies to assess and meet the identified needs.

Offering advice, guidance or support for parents and carers of children and young people who have special educational needs and/or disability. Providing impartial and confidential information to enable you to make your own, informed decisions.

Educational Psychology Service

Aiming to bring about positive change for children and young people where there are concerns about their learning, behaviour, emotional well-being or mental health. Working with children and young people from ages 0 – 25 years old.

Health Team

The Healthy Child Programme for the early life stages focuses on a universal preventative service, providing families with a programme of screening, immunisation, health and development reviews, supplemented by advice around health, wellbeing and parenting.

Woodview Child Development Centre

Woodview offer a single point of referral for community based specialist therapy, neurodevelopmental nursing and paediatric services.

Early Years Team

The Early Years Team support childcare providers, in the maintained, voluntary and private childcare market sectors, including childminders, through extensive advice, guidance and challenge to enable them to offer sustainable, quality and affordable childcare to the families of Halton.

Specialist Speech and Language Service

Halton’s designated specialist Speech and Language Therapy service (0-19) is Communicate SLT CIC. Professionals can refer your child to the service with parental consent, or you can refer your child yourself if you have concerns on an online form.
