The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how and when the Council will consult on town planning matters. The latest revision to the SCI was adopted on the 11th April 2019.
Government requires that Councils publish and monitor the timetable for the Local Planning Documents they intend to prepare in a document known as the Local Development Scheme or LDS. Halton's Executive Board approved a revision to Halton's LDS with effect from March 2025.
Following adoption of the Councils Local Plan ‘The Halton Delivery and Allocations Local Plan’ (DALP) on 2nd March 2022, work has commenced on a number of SPDs and AMRs.
The Council will be a partner to the Liverpool City Region Single Statutory (Strategic Spatial) Framework.
